The flies and jigs on this page were created for use with a fly rod and reel or ultra light spinning tackle. Most successful at catching fish (in Michigan), have been the foam spiders (have been using since the 1970's), and the Sneaky Pete style reversed popper. The curly red worm is a great lure for Gills (try using with favorite bait spray). Those not mentioned haven't been tested .......yet, and represent new flies that were tied (jig heads) since the beginning of 2011.
